What Reddit upvote sellers are and who uses them
Upvote sellers control or rent pools of Reddit accounts and spread the votes over hours, so the curve looks natural. Many also sell comments written to order, and some sell "upvote bot" subscriptions that do the same thing with scripts.
People buy them to get a post through its first hour, when a handful of early votes decides whether anyone else sees it. The votes arrive, but the readers do not: nobody behind them read the post.
The problems with Reddit upvote sellers
- Reddit's rules name voting services, multiple accounts and automation as vote manipulation
- Bought votes come from accounts that never read the post, so no replies, questions or signups follow
- Reddit can reverse manipulated votes, and moderators can remove the post or ban the account
- A score far ahead of its comments looks off to the regulars and moderators of the subreddit
How LaunchPact is different
- Upvotes come from founders who chose your post and vote with their own accounts; nobody pays for a vote
- Each upvote is proven with a screenshot, checked against the post, within 48 hours of the pact forming
- Founders can add a real comment once their upvote is verified
- Free to list, 3 active posts at a time, in any subreddit

How to get Reddit upvotes without buying them
Pick the subreddit where your readers already are and read its rules on self-promotion before you write a word. Many allow links only in a weekly thread or only from accounts with a posting history there.
Write a post that is useful even if nobody clicks your link: what you tried, what happened, what you would do differently. Reply to every comment in the first few hours, because that is when Reddit decides whether more people see it.
Then get it in front of people who will actually read it. That is what Reddit pacts are for: founders pledge to posts they would upvote anyway and prove each upvote with a screenshot.
Are pacts allowed under Reddit's rules?
Reddit's rules also cover coordinated voting by an organized group. A pact is two founders agreeing to support each other's posts, so we won't tell you it carries no risk. LaunchPact never votes for you or touches your Reddit account.
Pledge only to posts you would upvote anyway, leave real comments, and read each subreddit's self-promotion rules before you post. The rules FAQ on the Reddit pacts page goes through it in full.

Sellers advertise from about $0.01 to $0.05 an upvote, with comments sold separately. The real cost is the risk to the post and the account. LaunchPact pacts are free: you upvote the other founder's post in return.
Reddit's rules name automation used to change vote counts. LaunchPact runs no bots and never votes for you; every upvote is a founder's own, proven with a screenshot of the post.
Comments written to order by a seller fall under the same rules as bought votes. On LaunchPact, comments come from founders you have a pact with. They're optional and unlock once that founder's upvote is verified.
Reddit's rules on vote manipulation also cover organized groups voting together on posts. A pact is two founders agreeing to support each other's posts, so we won't tell you it carries no risk. Pledge only to posts you'd upvote anyway, leave real comments, and follow each subreddit's self-promotion rules.
